![]() More than likely, "listening to the players" is probably a translation for them doing financial research on gamer's habits, and realized that they could make more money with a FTP PVP game, so they went with that.Īfter the shit-show that was Breakpoint, I can't imagine that this is going to do much to improve the optics of the GR franchise.Rather, this group will be outcasts in society. I always find it hilarious whenever a publisher says they "listened to the players" and then they come out with a game that doesn't appear to reflect what players wanted at all. I'm not saying that there's anything inherently wrong with that type of game, but given the history of games in the Ghost Recon series, what possessed Ubi to think this is what the series should have been. That said, whether it's a BR game or not, a FTP PVP game is not really what excites me, nor does it appear to be that exciting to a large number of people who play and enjoy Ghost Recon games. My thinking is that whether it truly is a BR game or not, I think Ubi was certainly planning on leaning in that direction for the marketing, and the might be re-thinking how they want to market the game now. ![]() This was the rumor that came out last week, and it was immediately met with a MASSIVE amount of anger and backlash.
